Construction sites are home to (excuse the pun) valuable tools, machinery, and materials. This makes them a target to criminals for theft and vandalism. This will by default cause expensive problems to solve, as well as a huge inconvenience and delay in builds. Having so many contractors working to strict time scales means that an inconvenience quickly becomes a monetary issue as well for your investors.

With over 30 years in the security industry, we can provide effective, reliable, and budgetary-aware security to your construction sites. With our Carter Consultancy service, we can also work with you right from the very start to ensure you’re security aware before the first foundation is even marked out.

You will need clear security signage

Security guards are an excellent crime deterrent, and one of the most effective ways of advertising is with clear signage that illustrates the investment you’ve made in a security presence. Our branding is clear, corporate, and bold, making it unmistakable that you’re taking security seriously.

Consider manned guarding or mobile patrols

Having highly-trained SIA-licensed security guards, ready to react to any disturbances or suspicious behaviour, is the best way to keep any construction site secure. With over 30 years in the security industry, we operate a professional and reliable security service, tailored to suit the needs of your business. We also avoid subcontracting our security officers, meaning we know each and every individual personally who represents us on site. This means we explicitly trust every security guard wearing the Carter Security name, giving you the peace of mind to know the security you’ve invested in can be relied upon.

Install CCTV cameras

Our CCTV surveillance service is an effective addition to mobile patrols or manned guarding, or a cheaper but less effective alternative. Whilst installing CCTV is a deterrent and something we would highly recommend, you must be aware of its limitations. For example, it can be vulnerable to vandalism, and it will inevitably have blind spots. This is why we will always recommend manned guarding and mobile patrols, know very little can slip past our security officers unnoticed!
