As a leading provider of quality security on a national scale, we have a strict set of criteria when it comes to recruitment. Whilst we ensure that every member of the team holds a valid SIA license, it's their passion for the industry that really sets them apart. We believe that security officers need to be trustworthy, conscientious, professional and moral. Here's why -

Trustworthy

We offer a number of security services to our clients, ranging from mobile patrols, door supervising, manned guarding, alarm response and keyholding. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't just our keyholding service that requires a high level of trust. Every single aspect of security requires someone with a trustworthy nature. This is because the security of their business is in their hands. From ensuring no one trespasses to making sure only those authorised to do so gain entry, our security officers are required to be extremely trustworthy.

Conscientious

Careful, focussed, meticulous and hardworking all come under the definition of conscientious. We require individuals who not only take pride in their work but are able to submit reports during their shift that demonstrate their dedication to their role.

Professional

Professionalism is more than just appearances, it's the way someone carries themselves. Its understanding exactly what is expected of them on shift, and knowing exactly how to behave in certain circumstances. It's understanding that they need to be approachable, calm, well-dressed in the correct uniform and prepared both physically and emotionally. Security is an extremely demanding role, and remaining professional at all times is undoubtedly a challenge, but one we're proud to say our security officers maintain thoroughly each and every shift.

Moral

Having strong principles and knowing the difference between right and wrong is one of the key things we look for when recruiting for security officers. De-escalation training is difficult, there's no doubt about it. Knowing how to handle a situation and having a clear moral compass in the face of adversity is a very difficult skill, and often something that can't be taught. We consistently rely on our security officers to make the right call and to know their limits, knowing when the right time is to call for the local authorities, for example.
